English: 2015 Malaga is leaving the highest rates of part-time in living memory, according to the UGT union.
More than a quarter of the employed persons in the province, just 26.2% of the total, and by working hours and no full-time, explained on Thursday the secretary general of the UGT in Malaga, Auxiliadora Jiménez, what which places about 136,600 employees Malaga with this type of contract.
The figures are higher by 11,000 persons a year ago to 41,600 and that was in 2012, when the labor reform came into force.
Jimenez said that almost 80% of employees with part-time contracts would like to work full time, but regretted that neither their companies are willing to make these contracts and these people currently offer this type of work in the market. The weight of part-time in Málaga between employees is also the highest in Andalusia, ahead of Cadiz, Cordoba, Granada and Seville.
With all these data, the general secretary of UGT in Málaga described as «shameful» that the Government intends to ship a picture of improvement in the labor market of the province.
