Ante la negativa del alcalde por comparecer, los ánimos se han ido calentando por momentos lo que, unido a la poca voluntad mostrada por los taxistas a disolverse del Paseo del Parque, dejó los únicos momentos de leve tensión entre algunos taxistas y agentes de la Policía Nacional a lo largo de toda la jornada.
A la llamada de los principales sindicatos del sector han acudido profesionales llegados de toda España.
El convoy de protesta se dirigió hacia el centro de Málaga desde el Martín Carpena por la avenida de Andalucía hasta la Alameda Principal, donde se ha leído un manifiesto a la altura del Ayuntamiento.
La confluencia de vehículos ha provocado retenciones de más de treinta minutos en los principales accesos al centro de la ciudad.
Con esta manifestación, se produce la segunda gran movilización después de que el gremio ya salió a las calles en la ciudad de Córdoba.
Lorenzo Amor, presidente de ATA, aseguró que el sector no está dispuesto a dar un paso atrás y ha manifestado que «peligra el futuro de 100.000 familias en toda España» si se liberaliza el sector.
