La MUD elige a Henry Ramos Allup como presidente de la Asamblea Nacional

Español:Venezuela ya tiene nuevo presidente de su Asamblea Nacional. Este Domingo el Parlamentario Henry Ramos Allup fue el elegido por votación para reemplazar a Diosdado Cabello.
«Ramos Allup obtuvo 62 votos y Julio Borges 49. El proceso fue impecablemente democrático. No hubo ni un voto nulo», según afirmó tras la votación el secretario ejecutivo de la Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD), Jesús ‘Chúo’ Torrealba, una votación en la que han participado 111 de los 112 diputados registrados.
El propio Ramos Allup ha subrayado que con el proceso «ganó Venezuela», resaltando que «hay que darle a la democracia su verdadero contenido, que es el respeto a la mayoría y a la minoría», según ha informado el diario local ‘El Universal’. Ramos Allup, de 72 años de edad, es el secretario general del partido Acción Democrática, y el Gobierno de Nicolás Maduro le vincula con la clase que gobernó el país petrolero antes de la llegada al poder del fallecido Hugo Chávez. El cargo sería sometido a votación el 5 de enero durante la instalación del nuevo legislativo, con una mayoría calificada como opositora. La oposición se hizo con 112 diputados en las elecciones de diciembre. Ramos Allup ha confiado en que este 5 de enero los 112 diputados de la MUD, que representan «una alternativa para que las cosas funcionen de manera distinta y mejor», puedan prestar juramento de sus cargos sin contratiempos.
Asimismo, ha reiterado la intención de la MUD de sacar adelante una Ley de Amnistía que permita salir de prisión a los presos políticos, entre ellos el líder opositor Leopoldo López, pese al rechazo expresado por el presidente Nicolás Maduro, que ha dejado claro que no la promulgará.
En sus primeras declaraciones tras su elección, Ramos Allup ha asegurado que la oposición no será «un contrapoder» desde la Asamblea Nacional sino que será «el poder autónomo legislativo nacional» y ha pedido a los venezolanos «que nos vigilen, que nos exijan».
