La portavoz del Grupo Municipal Socialista en el Ayuntamiento de Málaga y presidenta del PSOE de Málaga, María Gámez, y el portavoz del Grupo Socialista en la Diputación provincial de Málaga y secretario de Política Institucional del PSOE de Andalucía, Francisco Conejo, han mostrado este martes el apoyo de los socialistas a los hosteleros malagueños representados por la Asociación de Hosteleros de Málaga y la Asociación Malagueña de Restauradores, y han anunciado que establecerán un espacio de diálogo permanente con este sector generador de empleo.

Así, María Gámez ha criticado que la ausencia de acción del equipo de gobierno del PP en el consistorio haya generado un conflicto «que no es bueno para nadie», al tiempo que ha instado al alcalde de la capital, Francisco de la Torre, a que tome ya la iniciativa para hacer compatible tanto la convivencia de los vecinos como la actividad económica que genera el centro de la capital.

Por su parte, Francisco Conejo ha afirmado que debe ser compatible la apuesta por el sector hostelero con la habitabilidad de los ciudadanos y ciudadanas en el centro histórico y ha destacado la voluntad de acuerdo de las asociaciones Amares y Mahos para lograr el entendimiento a través de una mesa de negociación.
