La oposición siria acepta una tregua de dos semanas

Español: En Siria, el Alto Comité para las Negociaciones, es decir, la alianza opositora, ha anunciado que acepta durante dos semanas la tregua propuesta por Estados Unidos y Rusia a las partes, según ha informado la televisión árabe Al Hadath.

La oposición ha dicho, en un comunicado, que «ve esta tregua de dos semanas como una oportunidad para averiguar la seriedad del compromiso» del Gobierno de Bashar al Assad con el cese temporal de las hostilidades.

El jefe negociador había asegurado horas antes que respondería a Washington y Moscú antes del viernes, fecha límite fijada por estas dos potencias para saber si hay acuerdo entre oposición y Gobierno sobre el alto el fuego, que entraría en vigor el 27 de febrero.

English: In Syria, the High Committee for Negotiations, ie, the opposition alliance, announced that it accepted for two weeks the truce proposed by the United States and Russia to the parties, as reported by Arab television Al Hadath.

The opposition said in a statement that «sees this truce two weeks as an opportunity to find out the seriousness of the commitment» of the government of Bashar al Assad with temporary cessation of hostilities.

Chief negotiator had said hours earlier that Washington and Moscow would respond by Friday deadline set by these two powers to see if there is agreement between opposition and government on a ceasefire, which would enter into force on 27 February.
