Susana Díaz defiende las diputaciones y augura acuerdo para «modernizarlas»

La presidenta de la Junta de Andalucía y secretaria general del PSOE-A, Susana Díaz, ha defendido este jueves el papel de las diputaciones provinciales a la hora de garantizar la igualdad de oportunidades de ciudadanos y de vertebrar y cohesionar el territorio, al tiempo que se ha mostrado convencida de que habrá un acuerdo de las fuerzas políticas para la modernización de las instituciones.

En declaraciones a los periodistas en el Parlamento, Díaz se ha pronunciado así tras ser preguntada sobre el hecho de que en el acuerdo que PSOE y Ciudadanos han suscrito se hable de la supresión de las diputaciones.

Ha manifestado que cuando no se tiene mayoría, es bueno siempre que se alcancen acuerdos con otros partidos, que es lo que está haciendo el PSOE, y ha agregado que le da tranquilidad además que sea con fuerzas políticas que defienden la unidad de este país y la igualdad, esto es, el modelo que contempla la Constitución y con el que ella se siente identificada, ese «proyecto común que es España y que tiene presente y futuro».
