Los hoteleros de la Costa del Sol prevén un verano «impresionante» en el que la ocupación rondará en torno a un 90 o 92 por ciento, lo que supone que estará sobre cinco o seis puntos por encima del pasado año.

Así lo informó el presidente de la Asociación de Empresarios Hoteleros de la Costa del Sol, Luis Callejón, que incidió en que, según las previsiones, este verano «va a ser mejor que el año pasado», destacando, no obstante, que 2015 fue «un año bueno».

En este punto, Callejón lamentó que el incremento del número de pernoctaciones «no está reflejado directamente en la rentabilidad», ya que, como explicó, siguen conservando precios y los impuestos que les subieron en su momento no se los han bajado.

Por otro lado, cuestionado por el estado de las playas de cara a la temporada estival, Callejón afirmó que «están muy bien equipadas, tienen los servicios ideales para todo tipo de turistas y les aportan ese valor que tienen dentro de sus limitaciones».
Por otro lado, también afirmó que la inestabilidad de otros mercados favorecerá a la Costa del Sol, recordando que en este 2016, según las previsiones, se podría llegar a 12 millones de visitantes.
