El exvicepresidente del Gobierno Rodrigo Rato deberá comparecer el próximo 8 de septiembre como investigado ante el titular del juzgado de Instrucción número 31 de Madrid, Antonio Serrano-Arnal, por presuntas irregularidades en la contratación de su excuñado en Bankia, también citado a declarar.

La comparecencia de Rato se produce en el marco de las pesquisas por la contratación de Santiago Alarcó en Caja Madrid y Bankia, que como experto en mercados internacionales comenzó cobrando 120.000 euros anuales en 2011 y dos años después llegó a ganar más de 480.000 euros.
