Málaga 24h TV – Otegi no puede ser candidato por estar inhabilitado

La Junta Electoral Provincial de Gipuzkoa ha resuelto que Arnaldo Otegi no puede presentarse como candidato a lehendakari en las próximas elecciones autonómicas vascas del 25-S, por lo que la coalición abertzale EH-Bildu tendrá que corregir la lista que encabeza el exmiembro de ETA por Gipuzkoa.

El órgano electoral provincial ha trasladado a la coalición independentista que ve incompatible la presencia de Otegi, en base a las sentencias judiciales que obran en su poder y que le consideran inelegible hasta 2021 debido a dos inhabilitaciones judiciales que condicionan su derecho a sufragio pasivo, a ser votado.

Sus abogados defensores ya han anunciado que van a recurrir al contencioso administrativo la decisión de la Junta guipuzcoana y que también recurrirán al Constitucional, que tendrá de plazo hasta las doce de la noche del día siete de septiembre para resolver el asunto, 24 horas antes de que dé comienzo la campaña electoral.

English: The Provincial Electoral Board of Gipuzkoa has ruled that Arnaldo Otegi can not stand as candidate for lehendakari in the next Basque regional elections of 25-S, so the EH-Bildu nationalist coalition will have to correct the list headed by the former member of ETA Gipuzkoa.

The provincial electoral body has moved to the pro-independence coalition that sees incompatible presence Otegi, based on court rulings in its possession and to consider ineligible until 2021 because of two judicial disqualifications affect their right to stand for election, to be voted.

His defense lawyers have already announced they will appeal to an administrative decision of the Guipuzcoan Board and also resort to the Constitution, which has until midnight on the night of September 7 to resolve the issue, 24 hours before the opening of the election campaign.
