Málaga 24h TV – El PSC elige líder en un momento crítico en su relación con el PSOE

Los más de 17.000 militantes del PSC están llamados este sábado a participar en las elecciones primarias para elegir entre la continuidad de Miquel Iceta como primer secretario o su relevo por Núria Parlon, alcaldesa de Santa Coloma de Gramenet. La consulta llega en el peor momento de la relación de los socialistas catalanes con el PSOE, después de que ambos candidatos a las primarias cerrasen filas con Pedro Sánchez. Pese a las advertencias de la gestora, Iceta y Parlon coinciden en que, si ganan, ordenarán a los siete diputados del PSC en el Congreso que voten no a la investidura de Mariano Rajoy.

El PSC dejó de tener grupo parlamentario propio en el Congreso al inicio de la democracia y desde entonces sus diputados están sometidos a la disciplina de voto del PSOE. Siempre la han cumplido, a excepción de dos votaciones sobre el “derecho a decidir” que se produjeron en febrero y octubre de 2013, cuando el PSC defendía la consulta legal y acordada en contra del criterio del partido a escala federal.

El Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya no es una federación socialista más del PSOE, sino un partido federado que funciona con un protocolo de relaciones desde 1978, cuando se unificaron los tres partidos socialistas que existían entonces en Cataluña.

Algunas voces, tanto del PSOE como del PSC, han planteado en los últimos años la necesidad de replantear ese protocolo, especialmente en los momentos de máxima tensión del proceso soberanista, pero lo cierto es que este se ha mantenido intacto. Parlon plantea ahora que ese documento “se ha de actualizar y revisar” y que, en algunas cuestiones, el PSC debería “poder definir de manera clara la diferencia”. Iceta se mantiene más cauto, pero no oculta que el desencuentro con el PSOE se puede hacer insoportable.

The Catalan Socialist Partit is no more a socialist federation of the PSOE, but a federal party that works with a protocol relations since 1978, when the three socialist parties then existing in Catalonia were unified.

Some voices, both the PSOE and the PSC, have been raised in recent years the need to rethink that protocol, especially in moments of maximum tension sovereignist process, but the truth is that this has remained intact. Parlon now states that the document «has to update and revise» and that, on some issues, the PSC should «be able to define clearly the difference.» Iceta remains more cautious, but does not hide the disagreement with the PSOE can make unbearable.
