The parliamentary spokesperson for Citizens in the Congress of Deputies, Juan Carlos Girauta, urges the government of Mariano Rajoy to prevent the placement of the ballot boxes in Catalonia to make a referendum for independence and a judge to ask the keys to the directors of the schools . Girauta shows his hope that the Executive of Mariano Rajoy learned from the «mistake» committed the 9N, when he allowed the vote, accuses him of «certain complex» and asks him not to enter into the «discursive framework» of nationalism.

The centrist leader believes that the government was «very clumsy» in the face of the independence challenge of November 9, 2014, when it did not prevent the Catalan government from placing the ballot boxes and consulting citizens about independence. However, he believes that «they have learned from their mistake» because «it would be very disturbing.» Therefore, he hopes that on this occasion a judge will finish asking for the keys to the directors of the schools to deposit them in the Court.

On the other hand, according to Girauta, what the independentists want is to have everyone discussing their referendum, but states that he «no longer bites of the hook» and what seems strange is that «among his still someone Bite him «. Nevertheless, he believes that this happens «less and less» and points out that 9N occupied an area in the media in an «obsessive» way. However, «now they speak, those who mount it».
