English: We started 2017, and it is striking that no Andalusian provincial capital has definitively approved its budget for this year, although between the eight there are noticeable differences; There are municipalities, such as that of Cordoba, whose Local Government Board has already approved the accounts and in which negotiations are already negotiated with the opposition; Those who anticipate that the green light on municipal accounts will arrive at the beginning of the year, as it also happens in Cordoba or in the capital of Seville; Or those that are in a much more precocious stage, with little progress, as it happens in Huelva or Cadiz.

In the case of Malaga, the town council recently approved the automatic extension of the municipal budgets from this January 1 until the new accounts come into force, for which there is currently no deadline although the mayor, Francisco de la Torre, Said that they were «very advanced.»

Their figures are also unknown, but the economic and financial plan developed for the non-compliance with the expenditure ceiling obliges to reduce the expenses of several chapters, and it is foreseen that there will be a budget reduction.

More advanced is the work of the provincial councils in this regard, since seven of the eight already have budget for this year. Jaen and Seville approved them in November while the rest – except Granada – have done the same throughout December.
