Nerja dota a sus policías de chalecos de protección contra balas y cuchillos – Málaga 24h TV

El Ayuntamiento del municipio malagueño de Nerja ha adquirido 34 chalecos de protección contra balas, cuchillos y punzones para los efectivos de la Policía Local, lo que permitirá que todos los agentes que actualmente están operativos dispongan de esta prenda de seguridad en el desempeño de sus funciones.

Según ha informado el Consistorio en un comunicado, los chalecos tienen el certificado de nivel de protección balística americano y europeo, pero no sólo protegen del impacto de balas, sino que están especialmente diseñados para mitigar también ataques con armas blancas, como cuchillos o punzones, contando con el máximo nivel de protección contra estos últimos.

Además de los chalecos, el Consistorio ha incorporado un nuevo etilómetro, herramienta con la que, según los responsables municipales, la Policía Local «ahonda en su trabajo de protección y garantía de la seguridad vial y ciudadana, al poder hacer frente con mejores medios a las conducciones temerarias que ponen en peligro al resto de la ciudadanía».
