Eugenio Pino asegura que dio la orden de detener a los Pujol-Málaga24h

El exjefe de la Policía Eugenio Pino, director adjunto operativo hasta su jubilación en junio de 2016, ha asegurado en una entrevista a El MUndo que ordenó a sus brigadas en «varias ocasiones» detener a miembros de la familia del expresidente de la Generalitat Jordi Pujol y que dispuso para este tipo de operaciones de fondos reservados con los que se pagó a «algún colaborador».

Pino, ‘número dos’ de la Policía en la etapa de Jorge Fernández Díaz al frente del Ministerio del Interior, añade que «la brigada política para investigar a los políticos catalanes no existe». En este sentido, reconoce que «les llegó mucha información» y que él «eligió a las personas adecuadas», citando a los comisarios José Manuel Villarejo y Marcelino Martín-Blas.

Estos dos comisarios, enfrentados en la actualidad en los tribunales por una grabación relacionada con el caso del ‘pequeño Nicolás’ entre policías y agentes del CNI, no tuvieron según Pino una «parte determinante» en la investigación sobre el patrimonio de los Pujol que está siendo cuestionada por la Audiencia Nacional.

Pino se refiere también en su entrevista a otras polémicas como la grabación en el despacho oficial de una conversación entre los entonces ministro del Interior Jorge Fernández Díaz y jefe de la Oficina Antifraude de Cataluña, Daniel de Alfonso. En este sentido, comenta que en Interior hay «salas donde se graba todo» y que el problema aquí fue la custodia de esa grabación que se filtró a la prensa para perjudicar directamente a Fernández Díaz.
