El poeta Luis García Montero y la actriz María Galiana, hijos predilectos de Andalucía

El Consejo de Gobierno de la Junta de Andalucía ha acordado este martes distinguir al poeta granadino Luis García Montero y a la actriz sevillana María Galiana como Hijos Predilectos con motivo de la celebración, el próximo día 28 de febrero, del Día de Andalucía, según han informado fuentes del Ejecutivo andaluz.

Al margen del reconocimiento como García Montero y Galiana como Hijos Predilectos, el Consejo de Gobierno ha aprobado la concesión de diez medallas de Andalucía. El acto oficial de entrega se celebrará el martes 28 en el Teatro de la Maestranza y estará presidido por la presidenta de la Junta, Susana Díaz.

El pasado año 2016 el cantautor Joaquín Sabina y el especialista en trasplantes Ángel Salvatierra Velázquez fueron los distinguidos por la Junta como Hijos Predilectos de Andalucía.

The Governing Council of the Andalusian Government has agreed on Tuesday to distinguish the Granada poet Luis García Montero and the Seville actress María Galiana as Hijos Predilectos on the occasion of the celebration, next February 28, of the Day of Andalusia, as they have informed Sources of the Andalusian Executive.

Apart from the recognition as García Montero and Galiana as Favorite Children, the Governing Council has approved the awarding of ten medals from Andalusia. The official ceremony will be held on Tuesday 28th at the Teatro de la Maestranza and will be presided over by the President of the Board, Susana Díaz.

Last year 2016 the singer-songwriter Joaquin Sabina and transplant specialist Angel Salvatierra Velázquez were distinguished by the Board as Favorite Children of Andalusia.
