La de búsqueda de Marta del Castillo en el río Guadalquivir ha concluido sin resultados. A pesar de los esfuerzos realizados por el equipo de buzos de la Policía Nacional por encontrar el cuerpo de la joven sevillana, asesinada hace ya ocho años en enero de 2009.

Un portavoz del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía ha informado de que la búsqueda no ha dado resultados positivos de cara a la investigación, todo ello además después de haber ampliado las nueve zonas en que se dividió inicialmente el rastreo.

Durante la búsqueda, los buzos han hallado en el fondo del río numerosos objetos pero ninguno relacionado con la desaparición y el asesinato de la joven.

La búsqueda, iniciada tras un informe presentado al juez instructor por el padre de Marta, Antonio del Castillo, se ha centrado en una zona de la dársena del río Guadalquivir ubicada entre los puentes de la Barqueta y del Alamillo.
