El ministro de Justicia, Rafael Catalá ha desmentido que la fiscal Consuelo Madrigal no haya seguido al frente de la Fiscalía General del Estado por no aceptar algunos cambios en la cúpula del Ministerio Público, como ha publicado este lunes el diario El Mundo.

Catalá ha negado cualquier tipo de imposición y ha recordado que los nombramientos de la Fiscalía los propone el propio Fiscal General, oído el Consejo fiscal y con un procedimiento «transparente y concreto»; por lo que, asegura, es «poco relevante» considerar que un Fiscal General continúe o sea nombrado porque «vaya a llevar o a dejar de llevar a cabo un nombramiento», en referencia a Javier Zaragoza, como opción para ser fiscal jefe de la Audiencia Nacional, como asegura El Mundo.
Rafael Catalá también ha desmentido «injerencias» en el funcionamiento interno de la Fiscalía después de que el pasado viernes los once miembros del Consejo Fiscal emitieran un comunicado criticando las declaraciones del ministro

El ministro ha realizado estas declaraciones durante la visita a las obras del nuevo edificio de los juzgados de Albacete, donde ha estado acompañado del delegado del Gobierno en la región, José Julián Gregorio.
