Dos años de inhabilitación para Artur Mas por la consulta del 9-N – Málaga 24h

El Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Cataluña ha condenado al expresidente de la Generalitat Artur Mas a dos años de inhabilitación por desobedecer al Tribunal Constitucional y celebrar la consulta sobre la independencia del 9 de noviembre de 2014. El tribunal ha condenado, además, a los otros dos acusados en el juicio del 9-N: la exvicepresidenta Joana Ortega (un año y nueve meses) y la exconsejera de Enseñanza (un año y medio) como cooperadoras necesarias del delito de desobediencia. Los tres han sido absueltos, en cambio, del delito de prevaricación, que era el que implicaba una mayor pena de inhabilitación.

La sentencia no es firme y las defensas de Mas, Ortega y Rigau ya han anunciado que la recurrirán ante el Tribunal Supremo. Eso significa que, por ahora, no se ejecutará, y que Irene Rigau, que es la única de los tres que en la actualidad ejerce un cargo público, podrá seguir desempeñando esas funciones.

Cosa distinta es que alguno de ellos quiera presentarse como candidato en unas elecciones, caso de Mas, que ya no podrá hacerlo a las próximas autonómicas.

English:The High Court of Justice of Catalonia has condemned the former president of the Generalitat Artur Mas to two years of disqualification for disobeying the Constitutional Court and to hold the consultation on independence on November 9, 2014. That means that, for the time being, it will not be executed, and that Irene Rigau, who is the only one of the three currently holding public office, will be able to continue to perform those functions.

Something different is that some of them want to appear as a candidate in an election, Mas case, which can no longer do so to the next autonomic.
