Catalá advierte a Mas: “Las leyes se cumplen y las sentencias se acatan” – Málaga 24h TV

El ministro de Justicia, Rafael Catalá, ha advertido este martes que será un «flaco servicio a la democracia» si el expresidente de la Generalitat de Cataluña Artur Mas o la exconselleras Irene Rigau o Joana Ortega no acatan la sentencia que les inhabilita para ejercer cargo público hasta un máximo de dos años, dictada por el Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Cataluña (TSJC) por desobedecer al Tribunal Constitucional (TC) por organizar la consulta soberanista del 9N.

Asimismo, el ministro ha recalcado que con la sentencia del TSJC -que ha condenado a Artur Mas a dos años de inhabilitación; a un año y nueve meses de inhabilitación a Joana Ortega; y a un año y medio de inhabilitación a Irene Rigau- es una «buena noticia» para constatar que «la Justicia funciona en España» y que las leyes se cumplen.
Catalá ha afirmado además que, a su juicio, la decisión del tribunal catalán es «muy razonable y muy adecuada» y ha precisado que, aunque esta resolución no fija jurisprudencia, servirá de «precedente» y de «referencia» para aquellos casos futuros que tengan «elementos parecidos» a este.
