Así fue el rescate de los turistas del teleférico del Teide – Málaga 24h TV –

Poco a poco vamos conociendo los detalles del rescate de los 93 turistas que se vieron forzados a dormir en el Teide por la avería del teleférico. Aquí ven como, uno a uno fueron bajando en un cable de seguridad los pasajeros de cada cabina. Así hasta un total de 93.

La sensación térmica llegó a ser de hasta ocho grados bajo cero, y tuvieron que afrontar rachas de viento superiores a los 70 kilómetros por hora, lo que imposibilitó el rescate por helicóptero.

Algunos se quedaron en un refugio cercano debido a que sus condiciones físicas nos les permitía recorrer a pie el camino hacia la caseta de los teleféricos. Algunos de ellos sufrieron el mal de altura.

Los rescatadores cuentan que buena parte de los afectados estaban asustados y tuvieron que calmarlos. Tras pasar la noche, a la mañana siguiente y en condiciones meteorológicas más favorables, llegaron cuatro helicópteros. Y de nuevo, uno a uno fueron entrando a la aeronave.

En total se movilizaron casi 400 efectivos para estas labores de rescate. Estos turistas pasaron un buen susto, pero al menos, tienen una bonita historia que contar a sus familiares y amigos.

Some stayed in a nearby shelter because their physical conditions allowed them to walk on the way to the ski lifts. Some of them suffered altitude sickness.

The rescuers said that most of those affected were scared and had to calm them down. After the night, the next morning and in more favorable weather conditions, four helicopters arrived. And again, one by one they were getting into the aircraft.

Altogether almost 400 troops were mobilized for these rescue efforts. These tourists had a good scare, but at least, they have a nice story to tell their family and friends.
