El PSOE-A ha acusado al presidente del PP-A, Juanma Moreno, y al presidente del PP de Málaga, Elías Bendodo, de «amparar las prácticas mafiosas» del Partido Popular en la Costa del Sol, tras lo ocurrido con el supuesto intento de comprar el voto del edil de Podemos, Francisco Martínez, en Mijas para una moción de censura.

El secretario general del Grupo Socialista en el Congreso de los Diputados, Miguel Ángel Heredia, ha manifestado a los periodistas que, sin duda, Moreno y Bendodo han «preparado un especial recibimiento» al presidente del Gobierno, Mariano Rajoy, y a todo su «séquito» de ministros al congreso regional del PP-A, que se celebra desde este viernes en la capital malagueña, como es el caso Mijas, donde se han demostrado el «chantaje y el intento de compra a un concejal de Podemos para poner en marcha una moción de censura» contra el alcalde de Ciudadanos.

En cuanto al hecho de que el portavoz del PP en Mijas, Ángel Nozal, no haya dimitido por este asunto, Heredia ha advertido a Bendodo de que «amparar a Nozal es amparar sus prácticas mafiosas y reconocer que estaban al tanto de lo que hacía».
