Un comandante Policía dice que algunas víctimas del incendio en Londres podrían no ser identificadas

Un comandante de la Policía de Londres ha afirmado que algunas de las víctimas del incendio en la torre Grenfell podrían no llegar a ser identificadas, agregando que el proceso de rescate podría durar varios meses.

Este miembro de la Policía Metropolitana ha agregado que «espera que el número de víctimas no esté en las tres cifras», añadiendo que hasta ahora se han recibido 5.000 llamadas para denunciar la desaparición de personas en el edificio.

Las autoridades elevaron este jueves a 17 el número de muertos, mientras que 30 personas continúan hospitalizadas, 15 de ellas en estado crítico, según ha recogido el diario británico ‘The Guardian’.

Del total de víctimas, seis fueron halladas fuera del inmueble, mientras que once fueron localizadas en su interior. Hasta el momento han sido identificadas seis personas. Por otro lado, entre el listado de desaparecidos por el incendio aparecían dos niñas de 6 y 8 años.

Pues bien, sus familiares emprendieron una intensa búsqueda por los hospitales hasta que, afortunadamente, las encontraron. Una de ellas estaba en coma y otra estaba siendo tratada por presentar serias lesiones.

Well, their relatives undertook an intense search for the hospitals until, fortunately, they found them. One of them was in a coma and another was being treated for serious injuries.
