Mallorca suspende por un año las nuevas licencias a hoteles – Málaga 24h TV

El ayuntamiento de Palma de Mallorca aprobó este martes suspender por un año el otorgamiento de nuevas licencias para hoteles en su centro histórico, para «aliviar la presión turística». Desde el Consistorio aseguran que no deben morir de éxito.
En España, tercer destino a nivel mundial con más de 75 millones de turistas en 2016, ya Barcelona, la ciudad más visitada del país, impuso en enero pasado la prohibición total a nuevos hoteles en el centro urbano, después de haber suspendido la concesión de licencias desde 2015, ante la saturación turística.
En Palma, la medida implica una moratoria por un año a la aprobación de licencias urbanísticas para uso turístico en el centro histórico y otros barrios de la ciudad.
