12 millones y medio de turistas en 2017 un año de récord en Málaga que ha visto cómo la provincia ha experimentado un aumento del 6’4% en el número de personas que, atraídas por el buen clima, la playa y la gastronomía, han llegado en los últimos 12 meses. Y han generado un impacto económico de más de 13.800 millones de euros.
Estos datos han hecho que el presidente de Turismo Costa del Sol, Elías Bendodo, califique el año de “espectacular” y se proponga que Fitur, sirva para consolidar el aumento de viajeros españoles tras varios años de retroceso.
El turismo nacional ha alcanzado en 2017 los 5’1 millones de turistas, tras ganar un 3’9% respecto a 2016.
Este turismo procedente de otros puntos de nuestro país, prefiere los alojamientos no hoteleros, lo que ha provocado que las plazas de viviendas de alquiler turístico superen ya a la oferta hotelera.
Otro de los retos en Fitur será verificar el liderazgo del sol y la playa y potenciar el invierno para que Málaga siga siendo un referente a la hora de elegir destino turístico.
