Málaga despliega la alfombra roja para ser epicentro del cine en español

La ciudad de Málaga despliega la alfombra roja para convertirse desde este viernes y durante diez días en epicentro del cine en español.

Largometrajes, conciertos, gastronomía, exposiciones, premios y homenajes marcarán esta cita anual con el séptimo arte.

El Festival de Málaga. Cine en Español suma su vigésimo primera edición con aumento en las cifras de películas inscritas y de presencia de mujeres en las cintas seleccionadas.

Asimismo, la Sección Oficial del certamen mantiene el modelo que aúna lo comercial con lo autoral y suma once películas de producción española y nueve iberoamericanas.

En total, se han recibido 2.286 inscripciones a las distintas secciones del certamen, para un total de 166 audiovisuales seleccionados, lo que supone un incremento del 44 por ciento en comparación con el año anterior.

Entre los muchos galardones estará el premio Málaga que recibirá el cineasta Guillermo del Toro; Paco Delgado se hará con el Premio Ricardo Franco; Juan Antonio Bayona, el Premio Retrospectiva; Mónica Randall, el Premio Biznaga Ciudad del Paraíso y Rodrigo Sorogoyen, el Premio Málaga Talent.

The city of Málaga deploys the red carpet to become from this Friday and for ten days at the epicenter of Spanish cinema.

Feature films, concerts, gastronomy, exhibitions, awards and tributes will mark this annual event with the seventh art.

The Malaga Festival. Cinema in Spanish adds its twenty-first edition with an increase in the numbers of films registered and the presence of women in the selected films.

Also, the Official Section of the contest maintains the model that combines the commercial with the author and adds eleven films of Spanish production and nine Ibero-American.

In total, 2,286 entries have been received to the different sections of the contest, for a total of 166 selected audiovisuals, representing an increase of 44 percent compared to the previous year.

Among the many awards will be the Malaga prize that will receive the filmmaker Guillermo del Toro; Paco Delgado will win the Ricardo Franco Award; Juan Antonio Bayona, the Retrospective Award; Mónica Randall, the Biznaga City of Paradise Award and Rodrigo Sorogoyen, the Málaga Talent Award.
