Ruiz Espejo espera que el Gobierno agilice las obras de la Biblioteca Provincial en Málaga

El secretario general del PSOE de Málaga, José Luis Ruiz Espejo, ha pedido este lunes al Gobierno de Rajoy que agilice las obras de construcción de la Biblioteca Provincial de Málaga. un proyecto que lleva más de 24 años de retraso desde que esta sede se trasladó de forma provisional a la Avenida de Europa de la capital.

Ruiz Espejo, que ha estado acompañado por el diputado nacional Miguel Ángel Heredia y por el secretario de Organización del Territorio y Vivienda del PSOE malagueño, Rafael Granados, ha afirmado que la Biblioteca Provincial tiene que recuperar el número de usuarios con una sede estable para prestar el mismo servicio que cumplen otras bibliotecas provinciales en la región.

Según el responsable socialista, «la dejadez y la marginación en los Presupuestos Generales del Estado está haciendo que se lastre un elemento esencial para la cultura como es la Biblioteca Provincial.

Por su parte, el diputado socialista Miguel Ángel Heredia, ha anunciado que el Gobierno central no tiene previsto iniciar la redacción del proyecto de adaptación del edificio para la ubicación de la Biblioteca Pública de Málaga en el antiguo convento de San Agustín, ni prevé el inicio de las obras, su finalización o la fecha para su futura apertura, según deja claro en una reciente respuesta parlamentaria.

Heredia ha anunciado que el Grupo Parlamentario Socialista presentará una batería de iniciativas parlamentarias para que el Gobierno del PP se comprometa con unas fechas concretas para la ejecución de las obras ya que, según palabras del diputado socialista,»Rajoy se ha negado a que la Lex Flavia venga a Málaga y, en segundo lugar, a desbloquear las obras de la Biblioteca Pública del Estado.
