The hotel industry will live a strike on the Costa del Sol in full season. This was announced Thursday by the representatives of UGT and CCOO.

The unions have already advanced what their intentions are in the face of the tourist season due to the blockade of the hospitality agreement.

After eleven meetings between unions and employers in vain, negotiations, at this point, are suspended and the steps prior to the strike registration are already on the table.

A meeting between the workers in the Civic Center will be held on June 15 and if the unions obtain the support they will go to the formal register of the strike on Monday, June 18.

Lola Villalba (CCOO) and Sergio de Oses (UGT), members of the negotiation table, have exposed the points they consider non-negotiable, a salary increase of 16% in four years, the impossibility of outsourcing services, the rest fixed in two days followed or measures to favor conciliation.

What awaits us if an agreement is not reached are staggered stoppages of three to four days from the end of July, August and September and as a collateral effect the Feria de Málaga would be affected.
