El ministro de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades, Pedro Duque, ha considerado prioritario y urgente recuperar la cordura en el control financiero de las universidades y que haya menos trabas, incidiendo en que el Estado dé más ayuda y ponga menos limitaciones a la investigación y la innovación.

Así lo ha indicado en Málaga, donde ha mantenido una reunión con el equipo directivo de su Universidad, encabezado por el rector, José Ángel Narváez; antes de participar en un consejo de gobierno extraordinario y de reunirse con estudiantes, miembros de ‘spin off’ de la UMA e investigadores.
El rector de la Universidad de Málaga ha trasladado al titular de Ciencia los problemas más acuciantes, entre los que ha enumerado la burocracia de los investigadores y de la propia institución y la financiación de la universidad, que ha caído en un 60 por ciento en los últimos años.
Duque se encuentra visitando universidades españolas, Málaga es la segunda tras la de Salamanca, para conocer el sistema científico y de innovación e investigación en una primera toma de contacto para empaparse de lo que hay que hacer.
