La Junta de Andalucía ha puesto a disposición de las autoridades portuguesas efectivos del Plan Infoca para luchar contra el incendio en la región turística del sur de El Algarve, en Portugal.

Fuentes del Infoca han señalado que los efectivos andaluces están puestos a disposición de las autoridades portuguesas y son estas las que deben establecer sus necesidades.

Por su parte, el primer ministro de Portugal, Antonio Costa, ha advertido de que el incendio tardará varios días en apagarse, mientras las autoridades han enviado más bomberos para combatir el fuego.

El Servicio de Protección Civil de Portugal ha enviado a 120 bomberos más, que se suman al total de 1.450 y 450 camiones de bomberos además de una docena de aviones de extinción.
