Professor Juan Zornoza, an expert proposed together with Miguel Ángel Martínez Lagos for the defense of the former general director of Budgets Antonio Lozano and the former president of the Board José Antonio Griñán, said on Tuesday in a new session of the ERE trial that it was impossible for Griñán, as head of the Treasury, knew all the budgetary programs, including the 31L with which the General Directorate of Labor granted social and labor aid and companies in crisis.

The expert proposed by Griñán, Juan Zornoza, sees it impossible for him to know all the budget items, including that of the ERE.

According to his words, «pretending that the Minister of Finance knows a budget program, in this case the 31L, which supposed 0.32 percent of the Board’s overall budget is impossible, would have to have a head that would not fit in the living room».

For Zornoza, it is «implausible and difficult to conceive» that there were 170 parliamentary amendments to the 31L program during the period investigated by 170 regional deputies and that the Parliament «did not know the fate of the program».
