Al menos 40 diputados del Partido Conservador de la primera ministra británica, Theresa May, estarían dispuestos a votar en contra de su posible acuerdo para el Brexit si deja al país ‘medio fuera y medio dentro’ de la UE. Si May consigue un acuerdo con la UE, tiene que someterlo a votación en el Paramento y necesitaría el respaldo de unos 320 diputados para sacarlo adelante. Si 40 de sus diputados votaran en contra, el futuro del Gobierno y del proceso de divorcio dependería del opositor Partido Laborista, que ha indicado que votará en contra de casi cualquier acuerdo que pueda cerrar la primera ministra.
