The socialist candidate for mayor of Malaga and municipal spokesman, Daniel Perez, has urged the municipal government team to assume its powers and execute an annual plan of cleaning of streams scheduled and public access to end the serious problems of flooding that periodically affect the city.

The PSOE urges the municipal government to carry out an annual plan to clean up streams and channels to end the permanent flood problems of the capital city of Malaga.

As he recalls at the end of 2017, the Supreme Court handed down a judgment, attributing to the consistory the competence to maintain and clean up the streams and streams that run through the urban core.

The socialist councilor responsible for the Environment Area, Begoña Medina, has revealed the existence of a report prepared by EMASA which reflects the concern for the poor state of the conservation of streams and channels and that could lead to the emergence of possible floods and avenues.

The Socialists denounce that they have been presenting different initiatives for years both in the Environmental Sustainability Commission and in the Plenary for the maintenance and cleaning of riverbeds and streams that have been permanently rejected by the PP arguing that the competences in this matter were from the Junta de Andalucía , when justice has failed against him.
