Este martes entra en funcionamiento una nueva Resonancia Magnética en el Hospital Virgen de la Victoria que triplicará la capacidad para realizar pruebas diagnósticas de alta precisión.

El centro también inició hace un mes la actividad del nuevo TAC Simulador de alta tecnología, que lleva a cabo estudios de simulación avanzados para los tratamientos individualizados de radioterapia.

La consejera de Salud, Marina Álvarez, ha podido conocer ambos equipos en una visita que ha realizado al hospital malagueño, donde ha mantenido un encuentro con profesionales de los diferentes servicios del hospital, que se prepara para conmemorar su 30 aniversario el próximo año.

La consejera, que ha estado acompañada por los delegados de Gobierno e Igualdad, Salud y Políticas Sociales, Francisco Fernández y Ana Isabel González, respectivamente, la gerente del Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS), Francisca Antón, y el gerente del Hospital Virgen de la Victoria, José Antonio Medina, se ha referido a la huelga regional en Atención Primaria prevista para el día 27 y ha confiado en el diálogo entre las partes y en llegar a un acuerdo.

La consejera de Salud también espera que pronto se lleve a cabo, por parte de la Diputación de Málaga, la cesión efectiva de los terrenos de los aparcamientos del Hospital Civil de la capital para avanzar en el tercer centro sanitario y que se pueda licitar el proyecto.

En la reunión mantenida con los profesionales, Marina Álvarez ha agradecido el importante trabajo que realizan desde el Clínico para dar una respuesta de calidad a la población. El hospital registra anualmente más de 200.000 urgencias, 19.300 intervenciones quirúrgicas, 24.000 ingresos, alrededor de 1.600 partos y más de 650.000 consultas.
