Alrededor de 220 pozos de la provincia de Málaga ya han podido ser localizados por voluntarios de Protección Civil, colectivos ecologistas, agentes de distintos ayuntamientos y particulares, a través de Emergencias 112, después de que la Asociación de Técnicos de Protección Civil de Andalucía pusiera en marcha la iniciativa para evitar situaciones como la que se saldó con la vida del pequeño Julen en Totalán. Sólo durante estos últimos días el Ayuntamiento de Alhaurín de la Torre ha detectado y sellado un total de nueve pozos irregulares en su término municipal. Por otra parte, cerca de medio millón de personas han suscrito ya en internet una petición para que la Brigada de Salvamento Minero de Asturias, que participó en el rescate del pequeño Julen, sea distinguida con el Premio Princesa de Asturias de la Concordia.

Around 220 wells in the province of Malaga have already been located by volunteers of Civil Protection, environmental groups, agents of different municipalities and individuals, through Emergencies 112, after the Association of Civil Protection Technicians of Andalusia put in march the initiative to avoid situations like the one that ended with the life of the small Julen in Totalán. Only during these last days the City Council of Alhaurín de la Torre has detected and sealed a total of nine irregular wells in its municipal area. On the other hand, about half a million people have already subscribed on the internet a request for the Asturian Mining Rescue Brigade, which participated in the rescue of the small Julen, to be distinguished with the Princess of Asturias Award for Concord.
