Málaga celebra otro año más su prestigioso Festival de Cine.

Largometrajes, conciertos, gastronomía, exposiciones, premios y homenajes marcarán esta cita anual con el séptimo arte.

El Festival de Málaga. Cine en Español suma su vigésimo segunda edición con aumento en las cifras de películas inscritas y se consolida como el gran evento internacional del cine en español, con una identidad ampliada y enriquecida tras abrirse a los países hispanoamericanos.

La Sección Oficial incluirá un total de 22 películas, más dos fuera de concurso, como son ‘Taxi a Gibraltar’ de Alejo Flah y ‘Los Japón’ del fuengiroleño Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo, películas de inauguración y clausura respectivamente, ambas protagonizadas por el malagueño Dani Rovira, al que se reconocerá su labor como embajador de Málaga ante el cine en español y su solidaridad con causas sociales y humanitarias.

En total, de las películas que competirán por las Biznagas del Festival, 13 son de producción española y nueve son iberoamericanas.

Como en años anteriores, el Festival se extiende hasta los diez días y concluye el 24 de marzo.

Málaga celebrates its prestigious Film Festival for another year.

Feature films, concerts, gastronomy, exhibitions, awards and tributes will mark this annual event with the seventh art.

The Malaga Festival Films in Spanish adds its twenty-second edition with an increase in the number of films registered and is consolidated as the great international event of cinema in Spanish, with an expanded and enriched identity after opening its doors to Latin American countries.

The Official Section will include a total of 22 films, plus two out of competition, such as ‘Taxi a Gibraltar’ by Alejo Flah and ‘Los Japón’ by Fuengirola’s Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo, opening and closing films respectively, both starring Dani from Malaga Rovira, who will be recognized as Málaga’s ambassador to cinema in Spanish and his solidarity with social and humanitarian causes.

In total, of the films that will compete for the Festival’s Biznagas, 13 are Spanish productions and nine are Ibero-American.

As in previous years, the Festival extends until ten days and ends on March 24.
