La dirección del PSOE-A ha querido dejar claro que las candidaturas al Congreso y al Senado para las elecciones generales del 28 de abril aprobadas por el Comité Federal del PSOE «son de todos los socialistas» y ahora lo que toca es «dejarse» la piel para que el partido obtenga los mejores resultados. Sin embargo, Cornejo ha criticado que desde los órganos federales no se hayan «justificado» o «razonado», como establecen las normas internas, los cambios «tan sustanciales» que se han llevado a cabo en algunas listas andaluzas, concretamente las de Sevilla, Almería, Cádiz y Córdoba. Así se ha pronunciado el secretario de Organización del PSOE-A, Juan Cornejo, quien ha expresado con toda la naturalidad que algunas de las personas que se han incluido en puestos de salida de algunas de las listas andaluzas, por decisión de la Comisión Federal de Listas y del Comité Federal, ni siquiera las conocía.
