El presidente del Gobierno en funciones, Pedro Sánchez, ha aportado un nuevo argumento para rechazar un Ejecutivo de coalición con Unidas Podemos: la previsible reticencia de los ‘morados’ a apoyar la aplicación del artículo 155 de la Constitución en Cataluña si fuera necesario. En cambio, Sánchez se ha mostrado abierto a estudiar la incorporación de miembros de las confluencias de Podemos en el Gobierno siempre y cuando se trate de independientes de reconocido prestigio en su ámbito de actuación. Sánchez ha reconocido que el método de negociación empleado hasta la fecha no ha funcionado porque «ha mezclado demasiadas cosas». Por eso, ha sugerido volver al punto de inicio para comenzar a hablar de lo que le importa, a su juicio, más a los ciudadanos: las políticas a desarrollar antes que los ministros encargados de tal o cual cartera.

The acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has provided a new argument for rejecting a coalition executive with Unidas Podemos: the foreseeable reluctance of the ‘morados’ to support the application of Article 155 of the Constitution in Catalonia if necessary. On the other hand, Sanchez has been open to studying the incorporation of members of the confluences of Podemos in the Government as long as they are independent of recognized prestige in their field of action.
