Noticia – Rescatados 136 migrantes, 15 mujeres, de tres pateras en aguas del Estrecho

Efectivos de Salvamento Marítimo han rescatado en la noche de este pasado miércoles a 136 migrantes magrebíes, de los cuales 15 son mujeres, de tres pateras que navegaban en aguas del Estrecho de Gibraltar. Sobre las tres de la tarde el centro de Salvamento Marítimo en Tarifa recibió una llamada de un buque mercante que avisaba de la existencia de una patera en la zona del Estrecho. Salvamento Marítimo inició un dispositivo de búsqueda y rescate formado por la ‘Salvamar Gadir’, el buque ‘María Zambrano’ y la lancha ‘Hermes’ de la Cruz Roja. La ‘Gadir’ localizó a la patera con 36 ocupantes y tras proceder a su auxilio siguió en la zona ante la posibilidad de que hubiera más infraembarcaciones. De esta manera, interceptó otras dos pateras de las cuales rescató 57 y 43 personas, siendo trasladadas al puerto de Algeciras.

In the night of this past Wednesday, the Salvadoran Maritime Rescue officers rescued 136 Maghrebi migrants, of whom 15 are women, from three boats that sailed in the waters of the Strait of Gibraltar. About three o’clock in the afternoon the Maritime Rescue Center in Tarifa received a call from a merchant ship that warned of the existence of a patera in the area of the Strait.
