El número de personas confirmadas como afectados por el brote de listeriosis en Andalucía ha ascendido a al menos 131, mientras que se mantienen como sospechosos a la espera de los resultados de otros 523…… Los datos actualizados este mismo miércoles han sido aportados por el propio consejero de Salud y Familias de la Junta de Andalucía, Jesús Aguirre, quien en declaraciones ha detallado que esta cifra de casos confirmados supone que a estas personas se les han hecho los cultivos en sangre correspondientes y estos han dado positivo. Aguirre ha indicado además que las cifras muy probablemente van a aumentar, pero que el tratamiento para atajar la listeriosis es «muy eficaz» y ha subrayado que el «sistema sanitario está funcionando muy bien»

La Consejería de Salud y Familias ha confirmado, al menos, 132 casos de infección por Listeria, desde el inicio de la alerta activada el pasado 15 de agosto. El responsable del Servicio de Enfermedades Infecciosas del Hospital Virgen del Rocío y portavoz del gabinete técnico para el seguimiento del brote de listeriosis, José Miguel Cisneros, ha destacado que este martes se confirmaron 18 nuevos casos, frente a los 34 del lunes, y que desde el pasado 15 de agosto cuando se activó la alerta sanitaria han sido confirmado 132 casos. El 81,6% se concentra en Sevilla, con 107 casos, once en Huelva, seis en Cádiz, cuatro en Málaga y tres en Granada. En Almería, Córdoba y Jaén no se ha detectado ningún caso. Además, ha informado de que actualmente se encuentran tres pacientes en la UCI.
