La asociación de Escuelas Infantiles Unidas de Andalucía ha afirmado que muchos centros del primer ciclo de Educación Infantil en esta comunidad autónoma entrarán en quiebra económica durante este curso 2019-2020 después de que el precio de la plaza escolar de cero a tres años lleve congelado desde 2008, sin ni siquiera aplicarse las subidas correspondientes al IPC. Para esta asociación, dicha quiebra, además de poner en riesgo muchos proyectos empresariales y puestos de trabajo, también supone un duro golpe a la red de centros educativos de este ciclo y, por tanto, a las familias andaluzas. Desde Escuelas Infantiles Unidas han subrayado que, con la toma de posesión del nuevo Gobierno regional, una de las prioridades ineludibles, según el propio presidente, Juanma Moreno, era la subida de un 7% de este baremo, subida que consideran insuficiente.
