Málaga es el destino urbano español que más ha crecido en pernoctaciones extrahoteleras en los primeros siete meses del año, según se pone de manifiesto en los datos del pasado mes de julio de la Encuesta de Ocupación de Apartamentos Turísticos publicada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística. Así lo han señalado desde el Ayuntamiento, apuntando que la ciudad ha acumulado 369 mil estancias desde el inicio del ejercicio. Esto supone un crecimiento del 49,02 por ciento respecto al mismo período de 2018. Han destacado que aventaja en más de 2,5 puntos porcentuales a la segunda ciudad con mayor aumento, que es Bilbao, y casi duplica el incremento del 24,95 por ciento del tercer destino urbano que más ha subido, que es Granada. El número de visitantes de la capital de la Costa del Sol que ha elegido un establecimiento extrahotelero para alojarse ha ascendido a 131.230 hasta el final de julio. Esta cifra representa un 47,6 por ciento más de viajeros de este tipo en los primeros siete meses de 2019.
