El presidente del Gobierno en funciones, Pedro Sánchez, ha anunciado que el Ejecutivo pondrá en marcha un plan de acción para ayudar al sector agroalimentario y ganadero a hacer frente a la subida de los aranceles planteada por la Administración estadounidense en caso de que esta medida finalmente se concrete. Entre estas medidas, estaría una reducción del número de peonadas para poder cobrar el subsidio agrario. Así lo ha anunciado en una comida mitin en Jaén, donde ha precisado que estas ayudas para hacer frente al «atropello arancelario» de Trump se dirigirán a todas las Comunidades Autónomas, aunque se ajustarán a las necesidades específicas de los sectores afectados en cada una de ellas. En el caso de Andalucía o Extremadura, se trataría de reducir el «número de peonadas para poder cobrar el subsidio agrario”.
