La Guardia Civil, en el marco de la operación Azariel, ha desmantelado una organización delictiva dedicada a la introducción de grandes cantidades de hachís en España, concretamente por el puerto deportivo de Fuengirola, y ha detenido a los cinco integrantes de la red, tanto los responsables de la organización como los encargados de gestionar la logística y distribución de las sustancias estupefacientes. Se les imputan los supuestos delitos de tráfico de drogas, pertenencia a organización criminal y contrabando de tabaco. La operación se inició tras tener conocimiento de que una embarcación semirrígida estaba traspasando numerosos fardos de hachís a una embarcación de recreo de bandera británica. Una vez alertados, la Guardia Civil interceptó la embarcación procediendo a la detención de sus cuatro tripulantes y a la incautación de tres toneladas de hachís, 1.590 libras esterlinas escocesas en efectivo y gran número de teléfonos móviles.
