El Plan Andalucía en Marcha presentado por la Junta este pasado martes, pone sobre la mesa 3.500 millones de euros para obras públicas. Entre los proyectos planteados dentro de este paquete de inversiones, está el ansiado tercer hospital de Málaga. Un proyecto que costará en principio 400 millones de euros y que se acometerá con la colaboración de empresas privadas. El futuro hub sanitario ha sido incluido en la denominada Unidad Aceleradora de Proyectos, para agilizar los trámites administrativos y poder comenzar la construcción cuanto antes. El edificio contará con 214 consultas, 46 quirófanos, 816 camas entre otras áreas sobre una superficie de 156.000 metros cuadrados. Otras obras que se realizarán en la provincia gracias a esta inyección económica por parte del gobierno regional son: el Hospital de Estepona, la reforma del Hospital Regional, la ampliación del Metro hasta el Hospital Civil y el Puerto seco de Antequera.
