El Hospital Regional de Málaga reorganiza parte de sus instalaciones para liberar camas ante el aumento de ingresos por Covid-19. La dirección del centro se ha visto obligada a tomar esta medida como carácter preventivo ante un posible repunte. De este modo, las unidades de Cuidados paliativos y Geriatría se trasladan al Hospital materno Infantil. Así, todos los profesionales de estas áreas han sido trasladados a la sexta planta de dicho centro hospitalario. Otras áreas ya habían sido trasladadas, también al materno como son las de Oncología, Cirujía Plástica y Otorrinolaringología que reorganizaron las agendas quirúrgicas y postoperatorios para liberar espacio. Desde la gerencia del Hospital regional, se recuerda a los usuarios que sólo está permitida la estancia de un familiar por usuario.

The Regional Hospital of Malaga reorganizes part of its facilities to free up beds due to the increase in income from Covid-19. The management of the center has been forced to take this measure as a preventive measure against a possible rebound. In this way, the palliative and geriatric care units are transferred to the Maternal and Child Hospital. Thus, all the professionals in these areas have been transferred to the sixth floor of said hospital. Other areas had already been transferred, also to the maternal area such as Oncology, Plastic Surgery and Otorhinolaryngology, which reorganized the surgical and postoperative agendas to free up space.
