El aumento de ingresos por coronavirus está llevando a muchos hospitales a reorganizar sus instalaciones para habilitar más camas. Esta semana lo anunciaba el Clínico de Málaga y ahora se suma el Regional de la capital malagueña. Este centro hospitalario ha habilitado la cafetería del personal como nueva UCI. Además, la propia dirección del centro sanitario ha informado que este lunes se traslada la planta de Medicina Interna al Materno Infantil, donde ya se ubicaron en su momento las unidades de Cuidados Paliativos y Geriatría desde el Civil. Esta decisión, según apuntan los responsables, responde a una planificación detallada para disponer del mayor número de recursos disponibles. Asimismo, la dirección del centro estudia la reorganización de diferentes unidades de hospitalización con la intención de agrupar por plantas todos los futuros casos de ingresos por covid19, para que el tránsito se reduzca al mínimo.
