🔴Noticia – Protestas en rechazo a la violencia sexual durante las manifestaciones en Colombia

La ciudad de Popayán, en el oeste de Colombia, se ha convertido en las últimas horas en un nuevo foco de las protestas antigubernamentales que están sacudiendo al país latinoamericano tras registrar un fallecido y una veintena de heridos durante los disturbios del viernes, entre ellos seis policías. Los manifestantes prendieron fuego a una «Unidad de Reacción Inmediata», donde supuestamente los funcionarios habrían abusado de una mujer de 17 años mientras estaba detenida en la sede de la Fiscalía y Medicina Legal de la ciudad. Según informes de los medios locales, la joven fue detenida por cuatro policías. Después de su liberación, escribió un mensaje en las redes sociales indicando que había sido detenida arbitrariamente y que los agentes la habían abusado sexualmente. A la mañana siguiente se quitó la vida.

The city of Popayán, in western Colombia, has become in the last hours a new focus of the anti-government protests that are shaking the Latin American country after registering one death and about twenty injured during the riots on Friday, including six policemen. The protesters set fire to an «Immediate Reaction Unit», where officials allegedly abused a 17-year-old woman while she was detained at the headquarters of the city’s Prosecutor’s Office and Legal Medicine. According to local media reports, the young woman was detained by four policemen. After her release, she wrote a message on social media stating that she had been arbitrarily detained and that her agents had sexually abused her. The next morning she took her life.
