La Junta de Andalucía defiende la integración del servicio de Maternidad del Clínico en el Materno Infantil de Málaga. Dice que así se optimizan recursos. Lo ha dicho el consejero de Salud del gobierno andaluz, Jesús Aguirre, quien ha respondido a las preguntas de PSOE y Adelante Andalucía en la Comisión de Salud del Parlamento andaluz. Aguirre ha defendido que con motivo de la pandemia se unificaron las maternidades de ambos centros hospitalarios con objeto de liberar espacio para pacientes con Covid-19. Y desde entonces se han atendido más de 4.500 partos. El consejero dice que las plantillas trabajan conjuntamente con un resultado asistencial óptimo. Por su parte, PSOE y Adelante Andalucía reclaman que Málaga vuelva a tener dos maternidades separadas como antes de la pandemia y se escudan en las 15.000 firmas recogidas solicitando esta reubicación. Aseguran que así se merman los derechos asistenciales de las mujeres.
