Agentes de la Policía Nacional han detenido en Estepona al cuidador de un hombre británico de 79 años, con problemas de memoria. El trabajador, presuntamente, habría convencido a la víctima para que malvendiera sus bienes. Hablamos en concreto de la vivienda y el vehículo de este hombre que no se encontraba en sus plenas facultades para tomar decisiones por sí solo. El anciano acudió a una oficina bancaria a retirar una elevada cantidad de dinero a partir del canje de un cheque por valor de 44.000 euros. Esa era la cantidad en la que había vendido su vivienda. Un precio muy inferior al valor real del inmueble. La entidad bancaria puso entonces en conocimiento de los agentes este hecho poniéndose así en marcha la investigación. El detenido se enfrenta ahora a un delito de estafa. El Juzgado de Instrucción número 5 de Estepona se ha hecho cargo de la investigación de los hechos.
