La Policía Nacional ha detenido en la localidad gaditana de Sanlúcar de Barrameda a 13 personas por tráfico de drogas y pertenencia a grupo organizado. Estas detenciones forman parte de la segunda fase de la Operación Garden que los agentes han llevado a cabo. Los detenidos eran miembros del llamado ‘Clan de los Coquinas’, asentados en Sanlúcar y dedicados a la compraventa de cogollos de marihuana procedente de otras organizaciones para después exportarlos. También se encargaban de introducir hachís en la costa gaditana. En esta fase de la investigación se han llevado a cabo 15 registros domiciliarios, el desmantelamiento de tres plantaciones indoor de marihuana con aproximadamente 850 plantas, un centro de elaboración de resina y aceite de hachís y un zulo con 280 kg. de esta droga. Además, la Policía ha intervenido 11.000 euros en efectivo, 17 armas de fuego, 51 teléfonos móviles, seis vehículos, cuatro motocicletas, una embarcación de recreo y una moto de agua. En la primera fase de esta operación realizada el pasado 16 de junio, ya fueron detenidas otras 15 personas acusadas de los mismos delitos. Los arrestados han pasado a disposición judicial ante el Juzgado de Instrucción número 2 de El Puerto de Santa María.
